Farizon SV van to start from £45k as UK order books open
The all-electric Farizon SV van will start from £45,000 for its entry-level L1 H1 model powered by a 67kWh battery, with orders open now.
The Farizon SV L1 H1 can be upgraded to a 83kWh battery for £48,000, while an L1 H2 model with the same battery is available for £49,000. An L2 H2 sized Farizon SV is available in either 63kWh or 81kWh guise, and is priced from £48,000 for the former and £51,000 for the latter.
Pricing for the L2 H3 with its 83kWh battery is £52,000, while the flagship Farizon SV – the L3 H3 – starts at £53,000 for the 83kWh model and £56,000 for the range-topping 106kWh variant.
Across the board, the Farizon SV gets automatic headlings, automatic wipers, a 360-degree surround view camera, plus heated and ventilated seats for both the driver and passenger. Additional standard kit includes a heated steering wheel, physical buttons alongside touchscreen controls, automatic air conditioning, and a full-sized spare wheel.
The Farizon SV also gets a payload monitoring system, which uses ride-height sensors to calibrate the vehicle’s weight. An accurate payload read-out on the driver’s display helps drivers and fleet operators ensure that they are meeting gross vehicle weight regulations. Overweight loads are alerted to the driver.
The Farizon brand is owned by Chinese automotive giant Geely. The SV recently received a Platinum safety award from Euro NCAP with a score of 85 points, which places it among the UK’s best options for safe and reliable large vans.
The award also makes Farizon the top-ranked Chinese all-electric commercial vehicle brand in the Euro NCAP ratings.
Jameel Motors will be responsible for introducing the SV to the UK market under the Jameel Motors Farizon Auto banner, as well as its sales across the country. Jameel Motors Farizon Auto managing director, Tom Carney, commented: “We already knew that the Farizon SV would be a unique product in this competitive segment, and now we know it will be ultra-competitive on price and significantly exceed expectations for standard specification, too.
“Not only is the list of standard features impressive, the SV also includes features that aren’t available at all on competitor models, like the weight monitoring system. That explains why we are seeing such excitement and interest in the SV from fleets large and small.”
