myenergi partners with Ovo to reduce home EV charger and electricity prices

Myenergi has tied up with energy supplier Ovo to offer its line-up of zappi home chargers to Ovo customers at a lower price, whilst bringing down household energy bills at the same time.

The collaboration means that myenergi’s range of either 7kW or 22kW zappi chargers will pair seamlessly with Ovo’s Charge Anytime tariff, which is available to new or existing Ovo customers offering off-peak charging rates for as little as 7p/kWh.

Off-peak charging times are typically between midnight at 5:00am, but differ depending on energy suppliers and tariffs.

Given the zappi range is designed to reduce grid reliance and integrate with solar power and battery storage solutions, its tie-up with Ovo could bring down users’ household energy bills by as much as £620 per-year.

Note, however, that the saving is calculated using the 7p/kWh Charge Anytime tariff, as opposed to the UK’s standard charging rate of 27.03p/kWh.

Following the myenergy/Ovo announcement, Ben Harris, myenergi partnerships manager said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with Ovo to provide zappi users with access to Charge Anytime.

“Providing a simple solution to charge when it’s cheapest, the tariff can help to lower your energy bills by as much as £620 per annum. We’re proud to be working closely with the OVO team, who share our vision of a future energy system driven by cleaner and cheaper renewable generation.”

Ovo’s EV director, Alex Thwaites, added: “Ovo is committed to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and this partnership will help do just that, by extending affordable charging to more customers than ever before.

“This is good news for EV drivers and is also part of our wider commitment to helping customers cut costs and carbon.”

Earlier in 2025, EV Powered compilied a list of the best and cheapest EV home charging tariffs, where Ovo Charge Anytime ranked amongst the top three most affordable options.
