Leapmotor’s Skoda Elroq-rivalling B10 priced from £29,995

Leapmotor has announced that its C-segment SUV, the B10, will be priced from £29,995 with its own £1,500 in-house electric car grant applied.

The B10 is the third model to join Leapmotor’s UK line-up alongside the full-sized C10 SUV and T03 city car. Order books for the Leapmotor B10 will open at the end of this month, with first deliveries from early September.

Without the £1,500 ‘Leap Grant,’ the Chinese carmaker’s answer to the likes of the Skoda Elroq, the Kia EV3 and the Volvo EX30 would start from £31,495.

The B10 benefits from Leapmotor’s new Cell-to-Chassis technology (CTC2.0+), which integrates a 67.1kWh ProMax battery into the chassis. In terms of range, the Leapmotor B10 can travel 270 miles on a single charge and supports charging speeds of up to 168kW, meaning it can be charged from 30-80% in 20 minutes.

By integrating the battery into the chassis, Leapmotor claims the B10 offers class-leading space.

Measuring 4.5 metres long, the Leapmotor B10 has a 430-litre boot with the rear seats up. Folded, the space grows to 1,700 litres. Further storage space includes a 25-litre and 22 storage spaces spread across the cabin.

With its rear-mounted 221bhp electric motor, the Leapmotor B10 promises a top speed of 106mph and a 0-62mph time of eight seconds.

The B10 is also the first Leapmotor model to come with a next-gen electric drive using an oil-based temperature-regulation system. The new motor weighs just 60kg, reduces the B10’s weight by 20kg, and has been specifically-tuned to European tastes to improve handling and the driving experience.

Like the larger C10 and the T03, the B10 promises to be well equipped and in line with Leapmotor’s simplified model strategy, just one trim level is available.

Standard equipment includes a 1.8-metre panoramic sunroof, electrically powered and cooled front seats finished in sustainably-sourced OEKO-TEX, plus a 12-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, plus a 360-degree surround view camera, and a heated steering wheel.

Following the B10’s pricing announcement, Leapmotor UK’s managing director, Damien Dally, commented: “Our mission from the outset was to be the best value for money EV brand in the UK by delivering the highest level of specification and the highest level of technology, all as standard. And now we’re bringing that offering to the hugely popular family SUV market.”

When it comes to tech, a high-definition, 2.5K touchscreen dominates the centre of the cabin measuring in at 14.6 inches. Meanwhile, the driver has an 8.8-inch instrument display.

The Leapmotor B10 gets 17 drivers assistance systems. The safety assists include lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, door open warning for cyclists, and adaptive cruise control.

The only optional extras are Dawn Purple, Metallic Black, and Galaxy Silver paint finishes for £575. Otherwise, standard colours are the van Gogh-inspired Starry Night Blue, Gloss White, and Tundra Grey. The B10’s standard interior colour is Light Grey, but a darker Shadow Grey is available at no extra cost.

Leapmotor arrived in the UK in March 2025 with the C10 and T03 arriving simultaneously. The Chinese carmaker is 51% owned by Stellantis, who invested €1.5 billion in the brand to become a significant minority shareholder.
