Changan Q05 coming to UK in 2027 named E06
Changan has revealed a new Skoda Elroq and Kia EV3 rival that will reach UK shores in early 2027.
Badged the Q05 in other markets, the B/C-segment SUV will be called the Changan E06 in the UK and has, apparently, been tailored specifically for European tastes.
Scheduled to go on sale in Europe in late 2026 and in the UK in early 2027, the Q05/E06 is 4.4-metre-long, with a 2.73m wheelbase which Changan says puts it among the most spacious cars in its class. There’s up to 800mm of rear knee room and a maximum luggage capacity of 545 litres – substantially more than the Elroq or EV3.
Designed with the European market in mind, externally there are two-level front and rear lights both joined by full-width lightbars, plus flush-fit door handles. Also in acknowledgement of European drivers’ tastes, Changan says its newest model will feature physical buttons alongside a 15.6-inch touchscreen and 10.17-inch digital instrument display.
Powering the Changan E06 is a 270bhp motor, described as “ample for every driving situation”. A 61.7kWh LFP battery delivers up to 279 miles of range (WLTP), slightly behind the best in class, while peak charging is a competitive 162kWh. AC charging of 11kW is also standard. As with other Changan EVs, the E06 will come with an eight-year, 124,000-mile battery warranty and seven-year, 100,000-mile vehicle warranty.
When it arrives, the E06 will sit beneath the recently launched Changan Deepal S07 and the soon-to-arrive Deepal S05. There’s no indication of pricing at this early stage but, like the S07, we’d expect the E06 to try and undercut rivals, so expect a starting price of under £30,000.
“The Changan E06 represents another important step in strengthening our presence in Europe,” says Ethan Yin, executive deputy general manager of Changan Europe. “As the latest member of the Changan product portfolio, our new all-electric small SUV underscores our commitment to providing accessible and innovative mobility for everyday needs.”
