Alpine A390 price announced ahead of spring deliveries
The Alpine A390 will cost from £61,390 when orders for the performance SUV open in the coming weeks.
Described as a “racing car in a suit”, the A390 will be available in two specifications offering up to 464bhp and a 0-62mph time of just 3.9 seconds.
Positioned to take on the Porsche Macan, Alpine says its five-door, five-seat crossover has been benchmarked against its existing A110 sports car to ensure it retains the brand’s famous dynamic driving experience.
The entry-level A390 powertrain uses a two-motor setup producing 395bhp and 488lb ft, and will sprint from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds. That will be offered in GT and Premiere Edition grades, priced from £61,390 and £65,390 respectively.
Above those, the A390 GTS gets a boost to 464bhp and 606lb ft, delivering a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds. Top speed is 136mph, compared with lower-grade cars’ 124mph.
All versions of the A390 feature Alpine’s bespoke torque vectoring system to manage power and braking across both motors. Alpine says this setup allows its fastback-styled SUV to deliver “exceptional agility, balance and responsiveness”.
All versions also feature an 89kWh battery. In the GT and Premiere Edition, this delivers up to 345 miles of range on a charge. The more powerful GTS cuts the A390’s range down to 312 miles. All variants will charge at up to 190kW on a DC charger, allowing a 15-80% top-up in 25 minutes.
Despite its sporty positioning, Alpine says the A390 provides everyday practicality and versatility, with seating for five and a 532-litre boot. Inside, the A390 features a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 12-inch central display powered by Google Automotive.
As standard, the A390 GT comes with 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, Alpine-branded six-piston front brake calipers, adaptive headlights and a power tailgate. Inside, customers get Alcantara and Nappa leather upholstery, heated electrically adjustable “Alpine Sport” seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 13-speaker Devialet sound system.
Every version of the A390 also comes with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistant, blind spot warning and intervention, safe exit alert, all-round parking sensors and 360-degree camera.
The Premiere Edition is limited to just 390 examples and gets matt-black 20-inch alloys, blue-painted brake calipers, a black roof, Sablet bucket seats with two-tone Nappa leather and massage function, hands-free parking, and a 22kW AC charger with bidirectional charging.
Priced from £69,390, the A390 GTS brings its powertrain upgrade along with 21-inch “Snowflake” design alloys with high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, red-painted brake calipers, the Sabelt seats, additional telemetric logging and an upgraded stereo.
The A390 is Alpine’s first ground-up EV and the second car in its fully electric Dream Garage. It sits alongside the Renault 5-based A290 and, later this year, will be joined by an all-electric A110.
UK orders for the Alpine A390 will open in early 2026, with first customer deliveries expected in the spring.
