Rolls-Royce Spectre was the brand’s biggest car in Europe in 2024

The all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre was the luxury marque’s most in-demand model in Europe last year.

The company said that demand for its first ever EV was higher than expected, even as it reported a small drop in total sales in 2024.

Globally, Rolls-Royce sold 5,712 cars in 2024 and while it hasn’t revealed model-by-model data, it confirmed that in Europe in its first full year of sales the Spectre EV outsold its petrol-powered Cullinan, Ghost and Phantom.

The all-electric grand tourer, which packs 577bhp and a 329-mile range, was also its second biggest model globally, just behind the Cullinan, which was updated for 2024.

Rolls-Royce Spectre review

Rolls-Royce said that the surprisingly high demand for the Spectre reflected how well an electric powertrain fitted with its luxury products. It noted: “Clients around the world [confirmed] it amplifies the attributes for which the marque is most renowned: silence, ‘waftability’ and the unique ‘magic-carpet ride’ experience.”

The sales figures come as the iconic brand announced a £300 million investment in its Goodwood factory. The money will be used to expand the Sussex site including further developing it to support the marque’s move to an all-electric line-up.

While no details have yet been announced, we know that Rolls-Royce is working on a second pure EV which will be revealed later this year.
