Mini gives Cooper Electric and Aceman the Monochrome treatment at no extra cost

Mini has announced that its black and white Monochrome trim will be available from January 2026 at no extra cost on its all-electric Cooper and Aceman models.

The Monochrome trim gives customers the choice between Midnight Black or Nanuq White exterior paintwork, plus 17-inch U Spoke Grey alloys on the Cooper Electric, and 18-inch Night Flash Spoke Grey units on the larger Aceman. On both cars, the roof matches the body colour.

Step inside, and Monochrome pack adds several changes to the Mini Cooper Electric and Aceman. A brand new, multi-tone upholstery is used on the front and rear seats, and comes paired with a matching yellow stitching. The dashboard, meanwhile, provides a sense of contrast thanks to its black textile finish and multitone fabric dashboard strap.

The Mini Monochrome gets a head-up display as standard, cruise control, parking assist, and a rear-view camera. Further standard kit includes heated front seats, and wireless mobile phone charging.

In terms of range, the Mini Cooper Electric Monochrome is exactly the same as the standard all-electric Cooper, thanks to 40.7kWh battery providing 189 miles of range from a single charge. With its larger 42.5kWh unit, the Aceman Monochrome has a 192-mile range. Both can accept charging speeds of up to 75kW.

When they go on sale in January 2026, the Mini Cooper Electric Monochrome and Mini Aceman Monochrome will be priced from £26,905 and £28,905 respectively. These are the same price as the regular Cooper Electric and Aceman, which have made it onto the list of EV Powered’s ‘best EVs under £37k‘ list.

Earlier in the year, Mini slashed its EV prices by up to £9,000 on selected Cooper Electric, Aceman, and Countryman models. It remains to be seen whether Mini will join the likes of Volvo, Hyundai, and Smart, who have announced their own in-house grants while the UK Government decides which car brands will meet the criteria for its new Electric Car Grant.
