Mini has expanded its all-electric Countryman lineup with a new ‘Midnight Edition’ trim level.
Using the range-topping SE model’s all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain, the Countryman Midnight Edition comes with a raft of aesthetic interior and exterior changes. These include a choice of two colours, Indigo Sunset Blue and Midnight Black, plus 18-inch alloy wheels finished in either Jet Black or Vibrant Silver.
The Midnight Edition Countryman uses entry-level Classic trim as its baseline, but Mini has added heated front seats, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a driver’s head-up display. Aesthetic cabin changes include vegan-friendly Vescin black/blue seats, a dark headliner, and a luggage net.

Additional features include Mini’s ‘Driving Assistant Plus’ ADAS feature, along with adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assistance. A four-year subscription to the ‘Mini Connected’ package comes with connected navigation, live traffic information, plus access to additional streaming features and access to the Mini Connected store.
The SE’s powertrain remains unchanged, and the Countryman Midnight Edition uses Mini’s latest 65kWh battery, which translates into a 285-mile range. A maximum charging rate of 130kW delivers a 10-80% charge in 29 minutes.

In terms of power, this moody version of Mini’s SUV packs 308bhp and 364 pound-feet (lb ft) of torque from its twin-motor setup. The 0-62mph dash is dealt with in 5.7 seconds.
Like all versions of the Mini Countryman, the Midnight Edition qualifies for the UK Government’s full £3,750 Electric Car Grant (ECG), which reduces the list price from £41,645 to £37,895. Initial deliveries will be made in early 2027.
The Countryman isn’t the only EV Mini makes. The smallest model in its line-up, the Cooper, and the mid-sized Aceman are also available with electric-only powertrains. The BMW-owned British brand has launched a series of special edition EVs in recent years, including the Deus Ex-Machina designed ‘Skeg’ Cooper and the black-and-white Monochrome edition – both of which were introduced in 2025.
