Leapmotor to launch 600bhp C10 AWD, but it’s not coming to the UK

Leapmotor will launch an all-wheel drive version of its C10 SUV with a supercar-bating 593bhp at the Zurich motor show.

The twin-motor layout of the Leapmotor C10 AWD sees it manage 0-62mph in four seconds. This figure places it within BMW iX M70 xDrive territory, which packs 670bhp and manages the same run in 3.8 seconds. As well as performance, Leapmotor has improved the AWD C10’s charging platform – its new 800V architecture means it can be topped up from 30% to 80% in 22 minutes.

The Leapmotor C10 AWD comes with an all-new LFP 81.9kWh battery, a significant jump over the existing 69.9kW unit found in the standard rear-wheel drive car. While no official range number has been announced, the single-motor Leapmotor C10 can travel 269 miles on a single charge.

While Leapmotor has yet to reveal the C10 AWD’s fast-charging speeds, top speed, a pricing, brand spokesperson confirmed to EV Powered it will not be coming to the UK.

When the standard C10 went on sale earlier this year, Leapmotor’s answer to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Skoda Enyaq was praised for its smart looks, generous kit, and sub-£40,000 pricing. In light of the UK Government’s deliberation of which manufacturers qualify for the its Electric Car Grant, Leapmotor is one of several brands to introduce its own in-house grant titled the ‘Leap-Grant’.

This means the C10’s price will be brought down to £32,750 courtesy of a £3,750 price cut. Meanwhile, the T03 city car’s asking price of £14,495 – following Leapmotor’s £1,500 discount – makes it the UK’s cheapest brand new EV. Both the Leapmotor C10 and T03 have made our list of the best EVs under £37,000.

In 2023, Stellantis secured a 21% share in China’s Leapmotor and began to sell vehicles across Europe in 2024 under the Leapmotor International banner. In early 2025, the first Leapmotor showroom was opened in the UK. By the end of the year, it aims to have opened 80 retailers nationwide.
