Mercedes confirms pricing and specification for new eSprinter
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the new eSprinter van will cost from £73,260 when it reaches UK roads in May.
The new version of the popular panel van will offer two battery sizes, two motor options and two body styles and bring class-leading range and safety.
Early models of the eSprinter will only be available with the larger 113kWh battery but that will be joined by a cheaper 81kWh version later in the year. The larger battery more than doubles the eSprinter’s previous range, taking it to a class-leading 271 miles.
Charging is via 115kW DC, which will take the van from 10-80% in around 42 minutes, and there is 11kW AC charging as standard.
For the first time, the eSprinter comes with a choice of motors – offering either 134bhp or 201bhp but the same 295lb ft of torque.
The eSprinter will eventually be offered in panel and chassis cab bodies, in L2 and L3 lengths, with payloads of between 995 and 1,002kg and a towing capacity of 1.5 tonnes. Early orders will only be for panel vans with the 113kWh battery before other models are made available. Longer versions will come exclusively with the larger battery, while the 81kWh unit will be offered in L2 and L3 variants.
For 2024 Mercedes has simplified the eSprinter range, with just two trim levels – Pro and Select – with the Pro version only offered with the less powerful motor.
All versions get a host of assistance systems as standard, including active brake assist, active lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, drowsiness warning, and intelligent speed assist with cruise control. An emergency call system is also included, along with an anti-theft protection package with a double-lock system. Panel vans come with a reversing camera, while a 360-degree camera is an optional extra.
In the cab, the new eSprinter gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen which can be specified with smart navigation that calculates optimised routes and charging stops in real-time. It can also calculated the best possible charging strategy for the quickest arrival or a desired state of charge. The eSprinter also offers a range of fleet-friendly features including telediagnostics and maintenance management, remote vehicle locking and unlocking and remote pre-entry climate control:
