Audi adds entry-level £46,600 Q4 e-tron to EV range

Audi has added a new entry-level model to its all-electric Q4 e-tron lineup. This base model Q4 e-tron 40 EV has a 63kWh battery offering a range of up to 258 miles and fast, and a maximum DC charging of up to 165kW.

The base Audi Q4 e-tron will be open for order as of March 2025, and is available as an SUV or sportback. The former returns 250 miles, and the latter has a 258 mile range. The battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in 10 24 minutes with a fast charger. The SUV body style can take on 93 miles worth of charge in 10 minutes, while the Sportback can take on 96.

The Q4 e-tron 40 has a starting price of £46,600 for the Sport trim level SUV. The mid-tier S line SUV is £49,150, while the top-tier Black Edition is £51,400. The Sportback is slightly more expensive, beginning at £48,100 for the Sport. The S line is £50,650, while the Black Edition is £52,900.

Irrespective of trim level, the Q4 e-tron 40 has a top speed of 99mph and can do the 0-62mph run in 8.1 seconds. In terms of efficiency, it has a consumption rate of up to 3.9 miles per-kWh.

As-per the rest of the Q4 e-tron range, this entry-level carcomes with Chat GPT functionality to control the car’s voice command system, infotainment, navgation, and climate control. Normal day-to-day questions can also be asked. Audi has also included a 25 GB data package to provide drivers with news, podcasts, sports, and games accessible via the car’s MMI.

The Q4 e-tron was the best-selling Audi EV in 2024 with 17,622 of them sold in the UK. It was the UK’s second most-popular all-electric vehicle behind the Tesla Model Y. Audi recorded a strong 2024 in terms of EV sales, with a total of 24,216 sold during the year. Of those, 17,622 were Q4 e-tron models.
