Hyundai to showcase its biggest EV yet at Brussels Motor Show
Hyundai has announced plans to unveil its biggest ever EV at the forthcoming Brussels Motor Show.
The South Korean brand will reveal the as-yet-unnamed new model as part of a wider showcase of its commitment to electrification.
Hyundai’s current largest EV is the Ioniq 9 SUV which at 5.06m long, 1.98m wide, and 1.79m tall, is already pretty big by European standards.
Given that, it is suspected that the new model might move away from the SUV sphere and could be an all-electric version of, or partner to, its van-based Staria people carrier.
At 5.25m long, 1.99m wide and 1.99 high, the seven-seat MPV is already Hyundai’s biggest model and is due a major facelift in 2026. It’s possible that that facelift could include the addition of an all-electric powertrain to challenge the VW ID Buzz and Kia PV5 Passenger.
Alternatively, Hyundai could be planning a standalone EV MPV to sit alongside the hybrid Staria in the same way that the Ioniq 9 and Santa Fe act as EV/ICE equivalents in the seven-seat SUV segment.

Hyundai has said that the new model will showcase “state-of-the-art” EV technology and feature an 800V charging system like the Ioniq 9.
“The Brussels Motor Show continues to be an important platform for us to highlight how our electric products and technologies are evolving for European customers,” said Raf Van Nuffel, vice president of product at Hyundai Motor Europe.
“As the region accelerates its transition to zero-emission mobility, events like this allow us to showcase not only new models, but also the innovations that will shape the next generation of Hyundai vehicles. As one of Europe’s leading mobility innovators, Hyundai welcomes the event’s strong focus on electrification, which reflects the technological progress and customer expectations shaping the future of sustainable transportation across the region.”
Alongside its new supersized EV, Hyundai will use the Brussels show to reveal its updated Ioniq 6 and display everything from the massive EV9 down to the city-friendly Inster.
It will also host a dedicated N Zone, where visitors can experience the 641bhp Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N as well as an interactive arcade gaming corner built around the radical Insteroid concept car.
