Skoda hits 100,000th Elroq milestone in under a year

Skoda has built its 100,000th all-electric Elroq in less than a year after full-scale production began at its Mlada Boleslav factory in the Czech Republic, where it’s manufactured alongside the interal combustion-powered Octavia.

The 100,000th all-electric Elroq was the rally-derived vRS model pictured below and finished in Mamba Green. With a dual-motor, all-wheel drive system producing 335bhp, the Skoda Elroq vRS is a firm EV Powered favourite along with the standard Elroq we took on a roadtrip across Finland earlier this year.

Upon its debut, the Skoda Elroq ushered in the Czech carmaker’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language and ‘Tech Deck’ face, which has also transferred over to its larger Enyaq SUV. When it arrived in 2021, the Enyaq was Skoda’s first dedicated all-electric vehicle.

Following its arrival, the C-segment Elroq scooped a number of awards across Europe including Car of the Year 2025, Best Electric Family SUV, German Car of the Year, and a Red Dot prize for its unfussy design.

The Skoda Elroq consistently ranks at the sharp end of top 10 EV tables across the contninent, and is the best-selling full EV in its native Czechia, as well as in neighbouring Slovakia and Denmark. In the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland, the Elroq remains top three best-selling compact SUV.

On the back of the 100,000th Elroq rolling off the production line, Skoda board member for production and logistics, Andreas Dick, commented: “Producing 100,000 Elroqs in under a year of series production is a major achievement for the whole team. It also reflects rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to our production processes.

“From the outset, we’ve fully leveraged the flexibility to build battery-electric and ICE vehicles on the same line. The result is clear: the tremendous response from customers highlights the excellent manufacturing quality of cars ‘made in Mlada Boleslav’.”

As well as being a sure-fire hit with customers, the Enyaq isn’t Skoda’s only 2025 achievement. This year the brand is celebrating its 130th anniversary. As part of the birthday celebrations, it has re-imagined historic icons from its back catalogue as EVs including the 110R, the Felicia Fun pickup, and the Favorit.

With the updated Enyaq Race, Skoda sought to showcase EV tech in motorsport and introduced lightweight and sustainable manufacturing techniques involving flax fibres. Looking to the future, Skoda will introduce its all-electric Epiq crossover in 2026, while the Vision O concept provided us with a glimpse of what a fully-electrified Octavia could likely to look like when it arrives by the end of this decade.
