Skoda expands Elroq launch line-up as order books open

Skoda has added more variants to its new Elroq line-up ahead of the car’s arrival in the UK.

The Czech brand has expanded its compact SUV offering with two new mid-range trims for the ‘60’ model and a range-topping SportLine available with the 60 or 85 powertrains.

The new Elroq SportLine trim brings an exclusive design package featuring a wealth of gloss black exterior details, including on the trim-specific 20-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and front and rear aprons. It also replaces the battery designation badge with a SportLine identifier and features a 15mm suspension drop at the front and 10mm at the rear.

Inside, the car features a three-spoke SportLine steering wheel and carbon-effect trim panels, as well as a microsuede/artificial leather finish to the sport seats.

Prices for the SportLine spec start at £37,400 for the 60 battery variant. That features a 201bhp rear-mounted motor and a 59kWh battery offering a range of up to 263 miles. The ‘85’ variant costs from £41,600 and features a 77kWh battery good for up to 355 miles. It also gets a 282bhp motor and revised spring and damper settings for a more dynamic drive.

Both Elroq SportLine models come with full LED Matrix beam headlights, a 13-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation and a powered tailgate.

Joining the SportLine in the expanded range are the SE L 60 and Edition 60 variants, priced from £33,350 and £34,450 respectively. Both use the same 201bhp motor and 59kWh battery and offer a range of up to 265 miles, with DC charging up to 165kW.

Skoda Elroq Review: Is the electric Karoq a new class leader?

The Elroq SE L 60 builds on the SE spec and adds satellite navigation, a two-spoke leather heated steering wheel, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors and drive mode select as standard.

The Edition 60 comes with the same equipment as the Edition 85, but with the smaller battery. That means it offers 19-inch anthracite alloy wheels, dark chrome roof rails and window trim and privacy glass with acoustic side windows. Keyless entry and start are also standard as is wireless phone charging and Travel Assist Plus, featuring predictive adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.

Prices for the Skoda Elroq start at £31,500 for the SE 50, rising to £41,600 for the SportLine 85. Orders are open now, with the first customer deliveries expected in spring.
